Individual dosimetry

Included in this term is the estimation of equivalent, deep and superficial dose received by a worker professionally exposed, obtained via reading of the dosimeter assigned and worn by the person throughout their working day.

The different types of individual dosimeters, classified depending on where fitted are:

• Whole body dosimeters
• Limb dosimeters (wrist and ring)
• Specific dosimeters for measuring in other areas or special situations

The service offered is monthly and the dosimeters assigned are duly labelled including the user’s data and unique bar code enabling traceability of the same.
